Since the inception of the Building STEAM program in 2011, the Greater Seattle (WA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated has tirelessly and lovingly worked with over 160 girls from under-served Seattle area communities in order to advance their success in science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM). The Building STEAM program includes 30 hours of hands-on robotics, game design or 3D printing course work taught by credentialed, age appropriate technology instructors. It also introduces the girls to the latest technological innovations. And members of each facet leverage their careers, connections, and volunteer experiences to improve the girls understanding, learning and performance in these critical skill areas.
