Programs
BUILDING STEAM

The Greater Seattle Chapter of the Links, Incorporated’s Building STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) for Scholars Pipeline Through
STEM-ULATION: Left Brain/Right Brain is an exciting program designed to increase the number of African American students who attend college in STEM fields.

The program is open to middle school girls and consists of a series of STEAM sessions with hands on learning activities designed to help students discover how STEAM relates to the world around them.
ANNUAL YOUTH AWARDS PROGRAM
In April of each year, the Chapter presents our “Annual Youth Awards Program,” an event that celebrates our Building STEAM students, honors elementary and middle school students nominated by their schools for academic excellence, and awards scholarships to senior high school students.

It is particularly gratifying to see the parents of award recipients, who were themselves award recipients as youth, attend the program and witness their children receive academic recognition and scholarships, creating and sustaining a culture of academic achievement and excellence.
